Hello, I’m Kirsty at Aspire Wellness Coaching & Therapy, based in York.
I am a Wellness Coach with 26 years’ experience in coaching people to help them achieve goals, in and out of work, and their life ambitions and wishes.

I have a strong belief that at times in our lives we all need help and guidance to support us through life challenges, enabling us to rediscover ourselves.

I am also a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist dealing with mental wellness from stress & anxiety and also the stages of the Menopause through the HypnoMenopause® Approach.

The main of my experience comes from working in a corporate environment, starting out at the bottom rung of the ladder and working up to a senior role. Over the years I developed and honed my coaching skillset with individuals and groups of people within a business. I knew along that journey that I wanted to help people directly from observing what impact tiny changes and adaptions can make to enabling people to feel good about themselves, overcome life hurdles and get back on track.

I have continually worked to expand my knowledge through further education and working directly with people to gain experience.

What makes me different?

Through my practice at Aspire Wellness Coaching & Therapy I tailor help and support to suit the individual. Alongside Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy I use a combination of modern techniques;

The Harvest Method: my unique Signature Method. Working with 3 core objectives to Recognise, Renew and Restore to bring balance, cultivate taking control and nurturing your future. This technique is exclusive to Aspire Wellness and your progress will be monitored throughout your sessions

HypnoMenopause® combines hypnosis, mindfulness, NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to help women manage their experience in a completely natural way. In clinical trials, hypnotherapy has been shown to alleviate hot flushes by up to an incredible 74%, in addition to helping mood, sleep and sexual function.

Wellness Coaching is a strong tool to support you to make positive changes in order to reach your full potential. You are provided with the tools necessary to face and manage challenges to be able to start positively and easily get the scales of life back to balance.

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where you are and what you’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. It’s not something you have to conjure up, you just have to learn how to access it, this is achieved through breathing techniques and physical tasks to help adjust the mind and body to a newer calmer path forward.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It’s most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.

CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle. CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts and shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel.

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a therapy to help you understand your thinking and behavioural patterns, emotional state, and aspirations. From there we find and strengthen your skills and replace the unproductive ones. This process supports you, in therapy, to re-evaluate your life and reach your goals.
